Abstract

Since its emergence, and with greater emphasis today, the University transforms its relationships with the social environment, where teachers and students are involved with their actions on the health problems of the individual, the family and the community in their natural and social context, the broadest of the teaching scenarios, Primary Health Care. With the objective of identifying abdominal obesity in the population served, a research is proposed in the field of undergraduate education in relation to the proposal of a transdisciplinary teaching strategy at the Andres Ortiz Polyclinic, in the 2023- 2024 academic year of the second year of the Medicine degree, which will be developed in the education at work of the subjects Prevention in health and Introduction to the clinic. The strategy takes into account elements of research that were consulted, which emphasize its value as a method to solve the socio- administrative problem that arises in the course of the project: abdominal obesity as a predictor of morbidity, and that will allow transforming the state of health of the population.
