Percepción del impacto del cambio climático sobre las especies en estudiantes de la Universidad de Guayaquil

Abstract

The objective of this research work is to analyze the perception of people on the impact of climate change on natural species and their ecosystem. For this purpose, a descriptive study with a quantitative approach was designed on a population of 25 people, determining a sample of 24 individuals for the survey technique. The results obtained indicate that climate change is a latent danger in the ecosystem (91.7%) and that its levels of impact are high (58.3%). But, although it is perceived the emergency, most of respondents have a regular Knowledge (54.2%) and occasionally think in it (41.7%), affecting seriously in how people can make changes representative to decrease the fingerprint of carbon that is left in daily live. In conclusion, it is necessary to create policies and laws focused on the care of the ecosystem as well as awareness programs that go from theory to action in order to reduce the affectation that society has exerted on the earth and its species.
