Keywords:
scientific culture, information management, interdisciplinarityAbstract
In the present work, it is intended to make a first approach to the relationship between
interdisciplinarity, scientific culture and the management of scientific-technological information, with the aim of
reflecting and discussing the theoretical and methodological foundations of the management and results of the
project, with a view to achieving the contribution that corresponds to the Government's management to increase
the effectiveness of the science, technology and innovation system as the engine of updating and sustainable
development of Cuban society. The constant and unusual development of science and technology, which has
occurred since the end of the last century, has produced an extraordinary and continuous generation of
information and knowledge that marked the so-called "Information and Knowledge Society". It is no longer a
matter of accumulating content and knowledge in people, but preparing them for the acquisition of dynamic
knowledge that is continually renewed and updated based on the critical analysis of the immense volume of
information received, which contributes to the formation and development of their interdisciplinary thinking and
their scientific and technological culture as part of their competencies to face the complex challenges of a
society of constant and unpredictable changes.
